A lot of seniors have trouble falling asleep or staying asleep at night. Problems getting to sleep, getting up many times throughout the night, or not feeling refreshed after a full night’s sleep are all symptoms of altered sleep patterns that may accompany aging. Physical constraints and discomfort can make it hard for some elderly people to get out of bed first thing in the morning. New moms, disabled adults, and those recuperating from surgery or injury may also deal with physical limitations that make getting out of bed taxing.
Sleep deprivation may have devastating effects on both one’s physical and mental health over the long run. A higher risk of cardiovascular disease, stroke, diabetes, obesity, and other chronic health issues have been associated with insufficient sleep, according to research. In addition to lowering cognitive performance, it may heighten the risk of anxiety and depression. Furthermore, incidents involving poor judgment or response time are more likely to occur in those who do not get enough sleep.

One may rely on our trained in-home companions for assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as getting out of bed, dressing, washing, grooming, and toileting. In addition, we are able to assist with medication reminders, the preparation of meals, and light housework.
